History of Dota 2

After the decision in the legal dispute on Valve's ownership of Dota 1 trademark, they announced their new game, Dota 2. Many were pleased and some were angered by this move made by Valve. They promised to keep the exact Dota 1 experience, just a little bit modern and better in terms of graphics.

Dota 2 was initially launched with 46 heroes, it turned out to be a victory. A lot of gamers were excited to see the game improve. They announced the first international competition and that too, was a big success. Up to this date, people are engaged with the game as Dota 1 slowly fades out.

Hello, its me.

"The Million Dollar Dream Coil"

Hi, I'm Patrick Mikael L. Buenaflor. I used to play dotes everyday till one day my laptop broke down. My future was crashed by that incident. My favorite dotes' scene is when there's The International tournament for  Dotes 2. The two team battling for the first place are NAVI and ALLIANCE. Navi got caught off guard at some point of the game.
“The Million Dollar Coil” moment came when, on their way back to the base, s4 caught Puppey and Dendi teleporting back to their base in the middle of their jungle. S4 threw a Dreamcoil that canceled both of their teleports, effectively allowing the rest of his team just enough time to destroy Na’Vi’s throne. It was the most fantastic comeback in Dota 2 history, and the best final game anyone could have asked for.

ESL ONE MANILA 2016

You will not want to miss out on the region's largest sports event to date!
The $6 Million Dota 2 Play

The American pro Dota 2 team Evil Geniuses won the game’s biggest eSports event ever this past weekend, taking home $6.6 million as a reward. What’s really cool about their victory is how, specifically, they accomplished it. It all came down to one awesome and highly improbable play.
You can watch the pivotal moment, which has been spreading rapidly across YouTube, Twitter, and pretty much any other place that gamers like to hang out. The “$6 million echo slam” began to take off once Dota 2 fans witnessed it over the weekend.

The History of DOTA 1

Defense of the Ancients was first released in 2003. It is a game consisting of three lanes where two teams of five players each are against each other. The name of the two teams are The Sentinel and The Scourge. The goal of the game is for one team to destroy the center base of the opposing team which is called the Ancient.

Dota 1 has since been developed by 7 persons. Its current developer is IceFrog and Valve. Different communities have expressed concern with the Dota franchise being under Valve. A legal opposition has been brought up and the dispute has ended on May 2012 favoring Valve's side. They gained the franchising rights  for commercial use to the trademark. Dota 2 was released on July 2013.
